Our Process

Parts come to the shop either prepped for plating and coppered, or in an unrestored state (or somewhere in between). The original art and its location/orientation is carefully documented with notes, putty impressions and photographs.
We then create digital artwork to carefully match the original and create a template to use on the pantograph. Using proprietary techniques and traditional machining know-how, the parts are engraved and ready for final plating. (Many of the parts shown here are in the copper phase of the plating process, which is the preferred state in which to have the engraving done.)
